A spin-off from
"Happy Days" (1974-84)

Premise:
The original format (1976-80)(seasons 1-5) relates the adventures of Laverne DeFazio, a realist and Shirley Feeney,
a romantic; two working girls (bottle cappers at the Shotz Brewery, in Milwaukee) and roommates (Apt. A 730 Hampton Street).
The second format (1980-82)(seasons 6-7) followed their dismissal from the brewery and their move to Burbank, California,
where their antics as clerks in the Bardwell Department Store were depicted.
The third format (1982-83)(season 8) followed when actress Cindy Williams became pregnant and left the show. Her
character (Shirley) is seen marrying Dr. Walter Meany and departing to join her Army husband overseas. The remainder of the
 final season relates Laverne's misadventures as a single girl looking for romance and working the AjaxAerospace Company.
