Gidget's sister Anne, reads her diary, not knowing that Gidget has written
ahead a few days. When things are boring she makes up stuff to put
in her diary. Gidget's dad asks her about it and Gidget assumes that
he has read the diary, gets all upset and can't believe he would do
anything like that. Of course her father won't tell her who did read
the diary, but Gidget works it out. Moon doggie and Gidget decide that
she can date other guys but he can't date other girls.

John takes Gidget to a luau, leaving Anne to worry.
Synopsis 2:
While Jeff is away at college, Him & Gidget have decided to date
other people. While on her dates Gidget makes a habit of telling
the guys that she is totally committed to Jeff, so there is no
need to try to impress her. Her plan backfires though when guys
stop asking her out, just before the big luau. Gidget and her dad
organise for John to be her date, so that the guys can see that
she won't always talk about Jeff. When Ann sees what sort of
friends that gidget has, she gets jealous and decides to crash
the party to keep an eye on John. Gidget's Dad decides to crash
the party also, to keep an eye on Anne.

Synopsis 1:
Gidget worries when she realizes her father's new love is a golddigger.
Synopsis 2:
Gidget's Father meets a nice lady on the beach and asks her out on a
date. Gidget tries to act all grown up and tells him not to worry
about coming home early. When it gets late and Gidget starts to imagine
all sorts of things have happened to him, she calls the police. In the
confusion the police officer think that she is the mother worried
about her son out on a date, so the officer tells Gidget's father
to go home that his mother is worried. That turns his date off and
he goes home being followed by the police officer. He greets Gidget
with quite a bit of temper and storms up to his room. They sort things
out when Gidget points out that it is hard when the shoe is on the
other foot.

Synopsis 1:
Following an argument, Gidget schemes to bring Ann (Betty Conner)
and John (Peter Deuel) back together again.
Synopsis 2:
Annie comes over crying that she's left John. She says he never pays
enough attention to her. Gidget in her own strange way decides that
for the sake of closet space (the spare room is in need of repair
so Anne is sharing with Gidget), she need to get the two young
marrieds together. When her father works out that she has a scheme
up her sleeve he tells her not to do it, but it's too late, the ball
is rolling and it can't be stopped. Of course everything goes wrong.
Anne & John have another big fight and things are no better than they
were before. So, Gidget devises another plan and this time it gets
Anne and John back together, but to punish her for meddling, Anne
and John each give her a few smacks on the rear end.

Synopsis 1:
Gidget makes a bid for independence and buys a hearse.
Synopsis 2:
While Gidget is at the beach, she sees a great car - a used hearse.
She just has to have it, so she works out with the owner a scheme to
pay it off. She even goes so far as to join shop class at school.
She finds out that a group of guys have got together and bought the
car out from under her. After they get her to do all the dirty jobs
in shop class and get ther to pay for five malteds, (except she doesn't
have enough money so the owner gets her to wash dishes), she realise
that the way to independence is through looking sexy. One of the guys
buys her share of the car at over 100% profit for Gidget.

Synopsis 1:
Gidget believes her English teacher, a former student of her father,
is prejudiced against her.
Synopsis 2:
For English class Gidget has her fathers old student. She thinks he
is picking on her. He is always saying that he expects more from a
daughter of Professor Lawrence. She decides to test out her theory
by copying a paper of her father's from when he was in school and he
got an A. She thinks that her teacher will give her an F. While in
class she finds out that he knows all about her fathers paper because
while he was teaching he read it to his students. Gidget tries to get
the paper back, but only succeeds in leaving her real paper. In the end
her teacher gives her an A for her real paper and after she explains what
her fathers paper was doing, he says that he only wanted her to be the best
she could be and now they are friends.

Synopsis 1:
Gidget falls for Larue's cousin Roger.
Synopsis 2:
Gidget gets set up on a blind date with Larue's cousin. She thinks that
he thinks she isn't sophisticated enough for him, because he bought a
minor ticket for her at the movies. When she finds out that he is having
a kidnap party, she gets Larue to spy on her cousin to see of they're
on the list. She gets all dressed up in a very sophisticated outfit
only to have no one come to kidnap her and Larue. The next morning
Gidget's father tells her that he is kidnapping her to go fishing.
As they are leaving Larue and her cousin turn up to kidnap Gidget.
He tells her that they changed the kidnap to the morning when they
found out that Larue was spying. Gidget asks if she is sophisticated
enough for him ie: the movie ticket. He explains that that is what
they do in college, try to put one over on the cashier at the theater.

The boys are taking Gidget and her friends for granted and Gidget
schemes to rectify the situation.
Synopsis 2:
Gidget tries to get the girls to teach the boys a lesson. She thinks
that the boys should treat the girls with more respect, ie: asking
for a date earlier in the week instead of waiting to hear the surf
report on Friday. It all goes well until she organises a slumber
party at their house. It's a flop. The girls miss the guys, the guys
miss the girls. Eventually all the girls except Gidget end up at one
of the guys house. Still Mark decided to ask Gidget out for a date on
Friday, a whole week in advance.

Possession of an an isolated cove at the beach becomes cause for
a battle between Gidget and her friends and the boys.
Synopsis 2:
The guys have found a really great secluded beach for their group to
hang out in. Until another group wants to use the beach to. The beach
gets declared a no surfing zone because of the fight between the guys.
The girls decide to teach the boys a lesson by not going out on dates
until they can solve their dispute. The only thing is, is that the guys
decide to get back at the girls by dating other girls. To get revenge
Gidget talks to Marks new girlfriend and tells her that Mark has a
vitamin deficiency and that he has to be watched constantly and may
need injections. Of course Mark finds out about this and gets Gidget
back by pretending to really have a problem.

Synopsis 1:
A gypsy's curse on Gidget appears to be coming true when accidents
start to occur.
Synopsis 2:
Gidgets new surf board gets stolen. La Rue and Gidget find it on the
beach with a for sale sign on it. A gypsy stole it and when Gidget
tries to get it back, the Gypsy puts a curse on her. At first
Gidget doesn't beleive in the curse, but then things start to go
wrong. She burns the dinner, pours iced coffee all over her father.
She reads one of her Fathers books on Voodoo and decides to expel
the curse. Her Father tells her off and she decides to let John
analyse her. She goes over to John and Anne's. While she is there
John's paper on the mating habits of a female gorilla gets wrecked
and so does three years worth of coupons from John's mother for a
new dryer. Gidgets father ends up giving her a lucky piece that he
says will expel the bad curse. Gidget goes to the beach and rides
her surf board without a hitch. Gidget's Father then tells her that
the lucky charm is nothing more than the head off of a stick pin
that his father gave to him.

Gidget tries to instil confidence into a nervy neurotic teenager.

decides to break it off with him. He breaks it off with her instead.
Then he gets a big head and thinks he's just a late bloomer and all
the girls thinks he is great. A recent transfer to Gidgets high school
suggests that they double date to the dance not knowing that Gidget
isn't going. So she makes him see how insufferable he's being and he
asks her to go with him.

her father's friends name. So to counteract this she organise to cook
tea for them. Obviously it doesn't go well. Gidget starts to keep out

Gidget stays with Anne and John while her father is away, causing them

charge. Before he left he gave Gidget permission to go to the surf meet
out of town. Ann & John agree to let her go but they pay a college
guy to mind her for the weekend. Gidget finds out and is very upset.
When she goes home she tells Anne and John that the guy has pinned
her, just to get back at them.

Synopsis 1:
When Shirley's parents take Gidget to find a new car in her pyjamas,
Russ mistakes it for a kidnapping.
Synopsis 2:
It's Friday night and Gidget doesn't have a date. She going to veg
out and do some things. She gets a call from Shirl who says that she
has a surprise for her and to get over to her house right away.
Gidget doesn't even take time to change out of her p.j's even though
her father says she should. When she gets to Shirl's house she finds
out that Shirl's father is going to buy her a car and Shirl wants
Gidget to go along to be the first to see it. Gidget tries to call
home to tell her father where she is going but the line is busy.
She tells Shirl that she is still in her p.j's and Shirl says that
she won't have to get out of the car. They get lost on the way to
Pasedena because Gidget needed to find a payphone to call her dad.
After many mishaps they decide to take Gidget home and find that her
father has locked himself out of the house in his p.j's.

needs a drivers license but doesn't have one yet. So while she is
learning to drive, Larue drives the florist van, so Gidgets will

Synopsis 1:
Gidget thinks the Lawrence home is haunted when unknown to her
Russ's friend moves in.
Synopsis 2:
Gidget's Father is going out of town and Gidget is staying with LaRue.
Russ is at the airport when he runs into an old friend and offers to
let him stay at the house as there is nobody there. Gidget and LaRue
have a fight and Gidget goes home not knowing that there is somebody
staying there. The neighbours across the street come home from a fancy
dress party and find that there are lights on in the Lawrence house,
so the man goes to check it out, still in his wolfman costume. Gidget
has got the spooks and has called LaRue to stay over. There is now
four people in the house and none of them are aware of the other.

Synopsis:
Gidgets boyfriend's father is playing the third wheel and going on
all of their dates, so Gidget makes the mistake of going to John
for advice on how to get him to stop, by telling John that she
has a friend who... naturally John thinks Gidget is talking about
Russ and tries to get Russ out of the house and leaving Gidget
alone by pretending he needs him as a guineu pig.

Synopsis 1:
Gidget attempts to comfort Davey Seldon over the death and impending
burial of his pet alligator
Synopsis 2:
One of Gidget's neighbours little boys has a pet alligator that has
died and his mum wants him to bury it and he wants to stuff it and
keep it forever. The only things is is that his father is out of town
and he has to wait until he gets back before this can be done and the
alligator will start to smell if something isn't done soon. Gidget
offers to freeze the alligator for Davey and they put it in her freezer.
Russ is being interview by a magazine on being so up with the teenagers
and Ann comes over and takes a casserole from the freezer. A wildlife
protection agency man comes over to talk about a permit to keep the
alligator and Davey thinks that he will take the alligator, so he steals
it from the freezer without telling Gidget. The reporter for the
magazine comes over and Gidget offers to show him the alligator and
goes to get it, finding that it has gone. She thinks that Ann may have
taken it home to cook and Ann gets hysterical and John puts what is
in the casserole dish down the garbage shute. The search is on to
find a dead alligator to replace Davey's one before he finds it gone.
Eventually Davey tells Gidget that he has taken it and all is well.
