Premise:
A simplistic comedy that relates the everyday events in the lives of the Ruggles family.

 “The Ruggles” was broadcast live on KECA (later KABC), channel 7, the ABC network’s Los Angeles affiliate.
In the East Coast and the mid-West parts of the country, the series was delayed via kinescope.
In New York City, “The Ruggles” premiered Nov. 3, 1949, on WJZ, channel 7.
