Premise:
Newlyweds live on a top-floor flat in San Francisco. Half-hour comedy set at 1400 McDoogal Street, San Francisco,
the small, rooftop apartment residence of apprentice architect Dave Willis, played by Peter Deuel, who earns
$85.37-a-week, and his art student wife, Julie, played by Judy Carne, who has forsaken her life of luxury as the
daughter of a wealthy car salesman to live with her struggling husband. Stories revolve around Dave's attempts to
prove to Julie's father that he is a capable husband for Julie.

Peter Deuel later starred in the western series
Alias Smith and Jones (1971-73) co-starring Ben Murphy.

British actress Judy Carne had previously starred in the comedy series
The Baileys of Balboa (1964-65).
