Brief Synopsis:
While trailing a swindler, the Virginian runs into his old flame Savannah
(Rolands). When the young cheat, who is the son of the man who "owns" the
town, is found dead Savannah is accused of killing him. Judge Garth tells
the Virginian to stall her execution to give him time to appeal to the
governor, but the fear-controlled citizens agree to the boy's father's
demand she be hanged immediately.
