"Lanigan's Rabbi" was the last series added to the Mystery Movie format.
NBC cancelled all four series and discontinued the Mystery Movie format as a

only four Lannigan's Rabbi episodes were broadcast.

Synopsis:
A police chief and a rabbi solve the murder of a housekeeper whose body was
discovered at the front entrance of a synagogue.
Synopsis 2:
When a woman is found dead on the synagogue grounds and Rabbi David Small is
suspected, Police Chief Paul Lanigan doesn't
believe he's guilty and joins forces to capture the real culprit.
