Joan keeps re-arranging the living-room furniture while her husband is asleep and he, believing she is out, thinks the
furniture is moving itself. When he consults a psychiatrist, who turns out to be a beautiful blonde, Joan gets worried.

Brad takes up tropical fish as a hobby, but finds that Joan can be more instructive than fish.

Joan tries to help her husband by adding a new fish to his tropical-fish collection. The help turns out to be more
hindrance when the new fish exhibits some strange and unexpected tendencies.

2.06 [45] I Married Joan: MISSING FOOD (a.k.a. "Culinary Nightmare")

Synopsis #1:
The plot centers around Joan planning a quiet dinner for Brad and herself. Brad calls from his club to say that he is
bringing a friend and his wife home to join them. Right after that, the friend's son comes into the locker room, and
Brad invites him and his girlfriend to join them. Joan can only stretch the food so far (pumping air into the cream puffs,
adding water and more water to the split pea soup, trying to add additional stuffing to an already small turkey, etc.).
When they arrive, there is virtually nothing for them to eat, as all of her efforts have failed. She promises that she will
prepare a picnic lunch for them the next day as a way of making peace. They accept; however, the small neighborhood dog has
stolen and eaten all of the food in the picnic hamper without Joan's knowledge. When they arrive at the picnic site, she
discovers an empty hamper, and attempts to mingle in with nearby picnickers, hoping to confiscate some of their food for her
picnic. She is caught, and once again, Brad's friends and their family go without eating. She finally invites them one last
time to the Stevens home for dinner. However, when they arrive, they claim that they cannot eat what she has prepared, as
they have gone on an involuntary diet from her two previous attempts to feed them, have lost weight, and do not wish to
put it back. [WM]
Synopsis #2:
Joan plans a small dinner which grows and grows as more people are invited for one reason or another. Joan runs into trouble
when she finds that the turkey she plans to serve does not enlarge with the growing party.

and Joan's daughter Beverly, playing Joan's sister, in a song-and-dance act.
As a highlight Joan impersonates Groucho Marx.

judge brings "Marty," the wealthy chimp, home with him, and Joan proceeds to handle things with her usual aplomb.

styles just before a college reunion.
Synopsis #3:
Joan is unhappy about her appearance and refuses to go with Brad to a class reunion.
Synopsis #4:
Joan accidentally gets the Eddie Panda Haircut as a result
of eavesdropping on two women sitting on either side of her in the beauty
parlor, and not paying attention to the beautician who misunderstood her.
Brad goes to the barber shop, and as he is falling asleep in the chair keeps
repeating "Butch", an old college chum. The barber proceeds to give him a
