In this pilot, called "Mr. Right", Doris (Brenda Vaccaro) works as a waitress in a deli. Her boyfriend, Ernie is a
real slob and not at all romantic. When Doris offers an elderly gentleman her seat on the bus on the way home, she
is granted a wish by Mr. Angel. That wish is to meet and marry a handsome, charming, romantic guy. She meets this
alleged Mr. Right - Bert Convy as golf pro Chris Livingston. He's everything that Ernie is NOT - except he wants her to
quit work and be a housewife with lots of kids. It's then Doris discovers who her real knight in shining armor is. Ernie. [RL]
Notes:
The pilot show here had the same theme song (performed by Pat Williams), but was called "Everything Money Can't Buy".
The other big difference is that Jose Ferrer played the angel, not Carl Reiner. [RL]

Synopsis:
Julia works in Mr. D's dress shop and when she shows kindness to a down-and-out customer she is rewarded with a wish
from Mr. Angel. Her wish is to see her twin sister Jane (whom she just found out about - they were separated at birth)
so she can give her half of the inheritance she's due. However, the search for this sister uncovers Janes unsavory past

Synopsis:

Synopsis:
A shoe salesman, Henry Salerno, keeps his customers in stitches with his one-liners. Several of them suggest that
he's missed his calling in show business. When Henry is very kind to a young boy who just bought shoes across the street,
Mr. Angel rewards him with a wish. The wish is to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. However, something happens before
each performance to keep him off the stage - that is until he's discovered in an elevator in Las Vegas and eventually gets
to perform at Caesar's Palace. [RL]
