Synopsis:
John Beamer (Ed Wynn) fills in for the regular crossing guard (Gus Kennedy) who needs a day off
to attend his grandson's christening. John almost loses Gus' job when he has an altercation with
a man at the stop street, who winds up being the new city traffic manager (who now wants to eliminate
the crossing guard and instead install a traffic light because of Beamer). [RL]
