Synopsis:
From the factual files of World War II comes the little known account of the dedicated
Austrian Colonel, director of the famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna, who,
during the critical months of the war, disregards his German Commander's orders and
courageously evacuated the priceless Lippizan Stallions from bombarded Vienna.
With rare ingenuity and daring, he smuggles the famed horses through war-torn Austria
to the high country of St. Martin. General Patton offers sanctuary for the Stallions and
they are later returned to peaceful Vienna so that once again the world will know the
magnificence of these White Stallions. [RF]
Released theatrically in 1963.

and a bobcat sequence featuring slow-motion photography. Filmed on
