US Mystery Anthology series 18 Episodes x 60 minutes ("Live")

Narrator Paul Lukas

*News Item: Syracuse Herald: "The Trap" changes its title and airtime and bows in as "Sure as Fate"

*NOTE: Newspaper Columnist John Crosby said that of the three programs airing "Suspense", "Sure as Fate" and "Danger".
The best of the lot was "Sure as Fate" the only one that was unsponsored. When a character enters — whether he be a cab
driver with four lines or the hero of the piece — he is a distinct individual; he is played by an actor who makes a
solid impact no matter how small the role; and he pushes the plot ahead an inch or so.

Another thing "Sure as Fate" doesn't waste a lot of time creating atmosphere just for the sake of atmosphere. It isn't
raining all the time simply because some director decided rain, in itself, is an ominous business. The only thing I have
against "Sure as Fate" is the appearance at the beginning of a mild, well-brushed man with a mustache who says,
"I represent Fate who controls the strings of Life, Death and Destiny". He'd be more properly cast as a file clerk.
