Lassie, on her own now, meets a drifter and his male collie, Duke.

17.02 "The Birth" (09/27/70):
Lassie's new puppies are endangered by a rancher who thinks the pups were
sired by a killer dog. Kerry: Michael-James Wixted.

17.03 "The Survival" (10/04/70):
Lassie and her three puppies escape to the desert.

17.04 "The Miracle" (10/11/70):
Mute Kerry helps Lassie and her puppies elude his father and the sheriff,
determined to kill the pups. Kerry: Michael-James Wixted.

17.05 "The Innocents" (10/18/70):
In this all-animal episode, Lassie teaches her puppies to survive in the
wild.

17.06 "The Offering" (10/25/70):
Lassie and her puppies meet a little boy (Sean Kelly) who is grief-stricken
by the death of his dog.

17.07 "Nature's Child" (11/01/70):
Lassie and her remaining puppy meet a little girl who can "talk to animals."

Lassie befriends a lonely widow (Kate Reid) who is reluctant to open her
heart to the storm-tossed collie.

17.14 "Gentle Dawn" (01/10/71):
Lassie and an injured bird brings together a lonely couple.

17.15 "Lassie's Busy Day" (01/17/71):
Lassie helps various forest animals.

17.16 "The River" (01/24/71):
Lassie helps two boys with their new boat.

17.17 "Other Pastures, Other Fences" (01/31/71):
A boy is restless in his farm home and wants to make a break for
independence.

17.18 "The Awakening" (02/07/71):
A girl who likes frivolity meets her socially-active aunt.

17.19 "Troubled Waters" (02/21/71):
A young man and the harbormaster quarrel.

17.20 "For the Love of Lassie/Well of Love") part 1 (02/28/71):
Lassie visits the farm where she left one of her puppies--and upon leaving
falls down a well.

People who have been helped by Lassie help rescue her from the well.

Lassie finds a home for an abandoned kitten.
