A mid-season format change for the two lead stars of
Klondike
*News item: Star-News Pasadena, Calif.
The gimmick of the series was that celebrities and would-be celebrities abound
in Acapulco, so the producers have
arranged for armchair tourists to get a glimpse of famous faces in the TV show
each week with a surprise cameo
appearance by a star such as Julie London, Broderick Crawford and Gene Barry.
They will not be guest performers but
will be seen as themselves, enjoying Acapulco's attractions. [RF]
