Premise:
Mickey Rooney plays Mickey Mulligan, a page at the mythical west coast
"International Broadcasting Company", in this half-hour situation comedy
series. Mulligan's job is a means to an end - he really wants to be an actor.
But some days he fancies himself as a writer, a detective, or anything else
that his imagination devises. The people at the dramatic scool he attends and
his co-worker can't quite figure Mulligan out. His policeman father and his
mother, a former burlesque star, have given up trying. Mulligan's girlfriend,
Pat, a secretary at the broadcasting company has her own ideas.

Synopsis:

$25,000 prize seem further off than that distant 18th hole. Mickey's
father Joe Mulligan, a plain-clothes policeman, is assigned to cover the tournament
