Synopsis:
A man has a shipboard romance with a married woman and breaks it off with her when he meets and falls in love with a young woman. Broken-hearted Agnes dies and
her ghostly figure rides around in the familiar rickshaw which only he can see. Fearing he is mad, his fiancee leaves him, his life in ruins he goes to his own death.
Synopsis 2:
Adolphe Menjou takes viewers to the exotic city of Simla in India. Based on Rudyard Kipling's "Phantom Ricksaw" the play details the life of Jack Lindsay,
Major in Her Majesty's India Army and of the two women in his life.
Synopsis 3:
In Simla, Maj. Jack Lindsay is wooing Kitty annering, niece of Lindsay's regimental commander. Lindsay is an experienced hand with the ladies,
the kind of man Kitty's uncle calls a "cad". Kitty is easy prey and Lindsay's courtship is prospering. One day in the bazaar, Agnes Keith-Wessington,
whom Lindsay once loved and then deserted, approaches him in a rickshaw and pleads with Lindsay to return to her. He snubs her brutally.
Then he learns that Agnes committed suicide several days before. He has been speaking to a phantom. Everywhere he goes the lady in the rickshaw follows him,
always pleading that he return to her. Lindsay consults his friend, Dr. Heatherlegh, a hardheaded army physician. Heatherlegh diagnoses Lindsay's trouble
as a serious case of delusions and under his treatment Lindsay's trouble seems to be cured, until the lady in the rickshaw reappears.

Synopsis:
Adolphe Menjou plays the lead as a man who accepts a bet from a millionaire that he can live in a cottage with only books and music for
