the Pulitzer Prize for getting out his paper in the ruins of a tornado-stricken town.
The devastating tornado in December, 1953 bred panic until the factual reports

A title taken from the grave marker of Betsy Arley, wife of an early American
colonist.
On October 11, 1619, Betsy arrived in Virginia with a group of women sent from London
to become wives of colonists. Betsy, however, retained the privilege of returning to her
homeland. In order to protect her until the return of a ship in the spring, Richard Arley,
