Synopsis 1:
In November of 1940, the worst blizzard in the state's history hit Minnesota.
Beatrice Enter, a rural schoolteacher was trapped with her students in a one-room
schoolhouse without light or heat. This is the true story of her courage and
resourcefulness in saving herself and her students.
Synopsis 2:
A teacher who saves the lives of her pupils during a terrible storm. [TA]
*Note: Based on the true story of Beatrice Swenson (now Enter),
a schoolteacher who in 1940 found herself stranded in a Minnesota blizzard
with her pupils. She kept the schoolroom warm as long as possibly by burning
papers, chairs and desks. Finally guided by broadcasts on a portable radio,
she led her charges out into the storm to meet a rescue party.
