Synopsis:
A tax inspector goes missing as he tries to track down the maker of an illicit, potent cider popular among the
residents of Midsomer Abbas. Barnaby and Jones have a murder investigation on their hands when the man's body
is found floating in a vat at the village's spring fayre, and it emerges that he'd arranged to see an informant
the night he died.

Synopsis:
Ralph Ford (James Dreyfus) claims to have spotted a rare bird, the ensuing row between members of the Midsomer-in-the-
Marsh Ornithological Society turns deadly when, the day after refuting his claim, the societies president, Patrick
Morgan is found dead. As Barnaby and Jones investigate, they discover a host of suspects - both in the society and
in his private life, with his pregnant wife rumoured to have had an affair.
