The Title "THE VIRGINIAN" by permission of EMKA, LTD.
Series regulars appearing in this episode:
Trampas, Ryker, the Virginian,
with brief appearance by Clay Grainger and Holly Grainger and glimpse of
ranch hand Cecil (who is never credited)
Synopsis:
Trampas' witness of seeing him in the street the night a "hated
man" was killed is the only evidence that could convict Medicine Bow's
doctor of murder. Although the cowhand believes Doc Baldwin (Throne) is
innocent, some of the prominent citizens in town, who want their doctor
freed from jail "no matter what he's done," try to discredit Trampas and
forcefully discourage him from testifying at the trial. (bj)
One note:
I have a revisional copy of the script for this episode with the
last date on some of the pages 8/1/67 It was originally written to have
featured series regular Doctor Spaulding (John Bryant). (bj)
