Series regular characters appearing in this episode:
Trampas

Synopsis:

Trampas takes on the responsibility of escorting a very young
"General Manuel Garcia Lopez de Maximilian Vargas" (Clint Howard) and his
infant sister 200 miles to Laramie to reunite with their mother who had
been banished from Mexico by their grandfather, the tyrannical leader El
Supremo, after their father had been executed for treason. On the way he
must outsmart bounty hunters who want to return Manuel and Maria to their
grandfather and a band of Indians on the war trail. Fortunately for
Trampas--and the children--Melinda, a feisty ex-faro dealer who denies her
womanhood (Talbot), decides to ride along, providing more than just a
little help for the group with her sure-shot rifle aim, horse broke for
harness, and suppressed mothering instinct. At first the vixen seems only
to want to engage in a battle of insults with the cowboy, but during the
trip Trampas and Melinda both discover the real lady that she is. (bj)
(this episode is another of my personal favorites) (bj)
