Series Regulars in this episode: Trampas

Synopsis:
On his way back to Shiloh Trampas stops a runaway wagon, and his
horse becomes lame in the chase. Frank Colter (Beymer) invites the cowboy
to stay in his town until the horse is ready to ride again. Trampas is
amazed at the repair and growing population of a place that had formerly
been abandoned. Unfortunately though, the residents, who have been banking
on the railroad coming through, have exhausted their credit with suppliers
in neighboring towns. Hope arises when Phillip Leland promises money to
support Eagle Rock, asking only in return permission to set up gambling
casinos. This is agreed upon until Colter finds that Leland plans to take
over the town. Trampas doesn't want to get involved but feels he can't
walk away when innocent people are threatened--even if it means a show down
with Midge Conway (Patterson), a friend from his past who now works for Leland. (bj)
