At the story's opening he tries unsuccessfully to sell Chase an item about Elizabeth Thyme,
a prominent socialite. Involved in the subsequent shenanigans are Elizabeth and her brother

Synopsis:
A psychiatrist who stoops to blackmail gives David Chase his next investigation. [RF]

David Chase lands in the middle of a socialite's fight with a psychiatrist. [RF]
Synopsis 3:
Chase receives a visit from a gent named Odds Nelson.Odds wants a special deliver letter due to reach Chase
that afternoon.He gets the letter, Chase gets slugged and when he revives, a phone call from Monica Forest.
She asks if Chase received the lettershe had sent him, but hangs up when the columnist says it was stolen.
Chase checks the newspaper morgue and finds some photos of Monica with toy manufacturer Joshua Hansen.
He visits Hansen, whom he finds supping with pretty Louise Ripley. Hansen admits seeing a lot of Monica
some time back and gives Chase her address. Chase finds Monica has been murdered. When Chase returns to
his own apartment, he finds Louisewaiting for him. She tells Chase that something crooked is going on at the
toy factory and the chase is on with narcotics and Russian roulette involved. [RF]
