Highlights:
Bob plays Gaylord Goodfellow, political candidate and Irving, his taxi driver
double, who takes his place
in the election and goes to marry six women.
Bob presents a comedic mixture of topical satire and an ever-popular attraction
- politics and pretty girls.
The plot puts Bob in the dual role of Presidential candidate Gaylord Goodfellow
and his lookalike, a cab driver named Irving.
When Goodfellow finds flower power more appealing than the campaign trail, he
drops out of the race.
Panicky party bosses press Irving into service as a replacement.
As the masquerade progresses, Irving learns that Gaylord has made one very big
promise - marriage to six lovely ladies.
Vikki Carr sings "It Must Be Him"
Cyd Charisse in a dance number to "I Have Myself a True Love"

After 97 days aloft, Cdr. Charlie Impeccable (David) is ready to flip.
His messy partner on the trip to Mars is Dustin Swine (Bob), who's somehow
imprevious to the tensions of interstellar travel.

Bob leads a Notre Dame U.S.C. football rally at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
Bob chats with Trojan back player of the year, O.J. Simpson.
*Note, if the musician's strike is settled by show time, Sergio Mendes and his
Brasil '66 will perform.
*Note: A college concert, honoring USC, taped at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

A "Mission: Impossible" book show with agent Hope tracking down Santa Claus,

Agent Hope meets stewardess Nancy Ames on a hijacked plane to Havanna, faces
judge Jerry Colonna,
makes friends with CIA agent Glen Campbell and shoots off to Hong Kong only to
be poisoned by dancer Carol Lawrence.
Bob bumps into Janet Leigh for a song and eventually finds Santa (Wally Cox) at
Broad headquarters.
Bob Hope plays an agent in this Christmas Special, assigned to find a kidnapped
Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
Note: Pasadena's Rose Queen appears briefly before the good nights.

Honey Ltd. sing "I'm So Glad".
*Note: When asked how did this trip compare to the 17 previous ones? Bob
replied,
"It was about the same, perhaps a little more exciting because we had 19 girls.
The 12 Golddiggers made the difference.
They're so cute. When they'd run out on the stage, the eyes of the GIs would
dart from one to the other."

Bob and Bing revive their 1932 routine called "crossovers" in which two men meet
in the street and pass the time of day.
George Burns recalls Gracie Allen sillies with Lisa Miller.
Diana Ross and The Supremes offer a medley of their hits.
*Note: Bob's performance was curtailed a bit during this production because of
recovering eye surgery.
