Starring:
Lee Marvin
as
Lt. Frank Ballinger, of the Chicago Police Department
Featuring:
Paul Newlan as Captain Grey
(in season 1 listed with guest cast)
Premise:
Lee Marvin plays a Chicago plainclothes policeman assigned to M-Squad. The Count
Basie theme music and the Benny Carter
background score, coupled with some incredible location shots around Chicago,
make "M-Squad" much better than any plot
description could ever convey, and Lee Marvin is so imposing as Ballinger--who
exudes the potential for violence in his
every move--that "M-Squad" ends up as one of the most memorable cop shows in
history.
"M-Squad" theme music composed and played by Count Basie
