Premise:
"The Patty Duke Show" was a sitcom about the Lane family of New York
City. The father's niece, Cathy Lane, comes to visit and is the
identical twin to her cousin Patty.

Synopsis:
In the pilot, Cathy crosses the Atlantic to live with the Lane Family in San
Francisco.
She has never met them, and is unaware that she is identical to Patty. After a
series
of miscommunications, Cathy manages to lose Martin's job at the newspaper.
Trouble
ensues when Patty's boyfriend. Richard, mistakes Cathy for Patty and gets
slapped
as a result of trying to kiss her. Martin and Natalie also confused the two,
leading
to a big misunderstanding between the cousins. [RL]
