agree to hang the painting over the mantle,
so as not to insult him. Later, Aunt Ethel announces that she is in town and has
a wonderful present for Mama and Millie.
Since they have nothing for Aunt Ethel, they send Alfred to the lingerie shop to
buy a gift. Aunt Ethel arrives and gives
them a painting of their late uncle to hang over the mantle. Somewhat relieved
to remove the racehorse painting,
Millie and Mama are shocked when the Boones return for holiday dinner. Mama
frantically changes the picture so Mr. Boone

A misunderstanding ensues, and ultimately, Alfred hangs one of his paintings
over the mantle instead. [Paley Center description]
