8.01 Mama: THE NIGHT THE ANIMALS TALKED (version 2) (filmed)

The series returns with Mama's traditional Christmas story about her great-
grandmother Hedvig, "The Night the Animals Talked." Hedvig, a child of old
Norway, believes that animals talk on Christmas Eve. Though her family
ridicules her, and a witch gives her warning, Hedvig slips out to the barn
to hear a conversation between Hilda the cow and Olaf the donkey. There,
ready to take advantage of Hedvig's credulity, are a burglar and his wife.

Note:
This is the same title as 23Dec55 and basically the same story but with
obvious changes in the storyline.

There she meets Lt. Ellis, who tells her he met Philip in France. At the

begins taking his meal with the Hansens, and intimates that he is "between
