Synopsis:
Against his advisor's wishes, widower Governor Drinkwater takes his daughter, J.J. to an important and fancy outing. He even
buys her a new dress for the event - only to find out that the chairs in the ballroom where the outing is held are upholstered
with the same material as the dress, and he goes out of his way to hide the chairs to save his daughter from embarrassment. [RL]
Note:
Carroll O'Connor plays Orrin Hacker in this episode (later portrayed by Ed Platt). Ironically, it was for Carroll O'Connor's show
"All in the Family" that replaced "The Governor and J.J." when it was cancelled in early 1971. [RL]

Synopsis:
It looks like favoritism when Governor Drinkwater appoints Ed Lundy to a judgeship. After the appointment, the Governor
finds out that Ed has been dating daughter J.J. To make matters worse, J.J. then gets a traffic ticket Normally, a
ticket given to the daughter of a politician would be "fixed," but the Governor will have none of it. J.J. feels differently
however, and decides to fight the ticket because SHE wasn't drivingthe moving vehicle - a bear from the zoo in which she
is employed was the driver. [RL]
