Premise:
Jim Thompson (Don Chastain) was a sportwriter for the Los Angeles Sun.
Much to his dismay, his wife Debbie (Debbie Reynolds) also wants to be
a writer for the newspaper.  Other characters included Debbie's sister
Charlotte (Patricia Smith, The Bob Newhart Show), her husband Bob
(Tom Bosley, Happy Days), and their son Bruce (Bobby Riha).
Note:
Debbie steps out of character at the end of each episode to address the audience,
and thank them for watching. Debbie was originally signed to a 2-year contract, but
she was so upset when the sponsor turned out to be a cigarette company (she was
anti-smoking) that she opted out after one season. [RL]
