Opie tries to get a job delivering groceries to pay for getting his bike fixed. He competes with another boy for
it, but finds out the other boy needs the money to help his family.

20 September 1965
Andy gets jealous when a big-city teacher arrives to work with Helen and ends up spending several evenings with her.

6.3 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: MALCOLM AT THE CROSSROADS
27 September 1965
Malcolm Merriweather returns to Mayberry, announcing that he plans to live there permanently. Andy gives him the
job of school crossing guard after firing Ernest T. Bass from the job for throwing rocks at cars. Ernest T.
challenges Malcolm to a fight which he accepts, even though he can't fight.

Aunt Bee and her new beau go out on the town.

11 October 1965
Andy's eager new deputy jails Aunt Bee and her friends for illegal gambling when they have a bingo game at their
church bazaar.

6.6 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: A WARNING FROM WARREN
18 October 1965
Warren's ESP warns that a picnic will be a disaster for Andy and Helen.

6.7 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: OFF TO HOLLYWOOD
25 October 1965
A movie company is going to make film about Andy, and the Taylors take a trip to Hollywood to see the production.

6.8 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: TAYLORS IN HOLLYWOOD
1 November 1965
The Taylors arrive in Hollywood and meet the production team that is making the movie 'Sheriff Without A Gun'.

8 November 1965
After Helen gets upset about a publicity picture of Andy and a pretty actress from the movie, Andy tries to get
back at Helen by going on a date with the actress. When Helen calls to apologize, Opie tells her about the date.

Aunt Bee wins big on a TV quiz show.

Warren's ignorance about cannons helps catch two thieves.

6.12 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: A MAN'S BEST FRIEND
29 November 1965
Opie and his new friend Tommy are having fun with the new boy's miniature walkie-talkies. They listen in on
conversations and the like but Tommy has a sense of humor that not everyone appreciates. When Goober adopts a
stray dog, they hide one of the walkie-talkies in the animal's collar and soon the gullible mechanic thinks he
has a talking dog. Goober soon makes a fool of himself and the boys think it's quite funny. Andy tries to impress
upon them that humiliating people is not funny and teaches Tommy a lesson in what it feels like to be the butt
of someone's practical joke.

6.13 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: AUNT BEE TAKES A JOB
6 December 1965
Aunt Bee takes a part-time job at a printing shop that has just opened in town. When Andy notices, among other
things, that they print business cards with green ink, he figures out just what they're in the business of printing!

6.14 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE CHURCH ORGAN
13 December 1965
When the old organ in the church heaves it's last sour note, Andy finds a used one and gets pledges from local
businessmen to pay for it. When it comes to collecting, all he gets are excuses. The solution to the problem
comes from a very unexpected source.

20 December 1965
After watching a TV show about a suave adventurer, Warren becomes like the character while sleepwalking and tries
to romance Helen. When he wakes up, he doesn't remember a thing.

6.16 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: OTIS THE ARTIST
3 January 1966
Warren meets Otis for the first time and tries to cure his alcoholism by introducing him to mosaic art. Surprisingly,
Otis takes to it well, and even stops drinking. The only problem is that he has no artistic talent.

6.17 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE RETURN OF BARNEY FIFE
10 January 1966
Barney comes back to town for the high school reunion and meets everyone, including Thelma Lou, who has also
returned to Mayberry.

6.18 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE LEGEND OF BARNEY FIFE
17 January 1966
While Barney is back in Mayberry, a convict escapes and heads to Mayberry to get even with him for sending him
to prison the year before.

6.19 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: LOST AND FOUND
24 January 1966
Aunt Bee finds a lost antique pin after spending the insurance money she got for it. She feels like she has stolen
from the insurance company, but Warren and Goober end up helping clear her conscience.

6.20 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: WYATT EARP RIDES AGAIN
31 January 1966
A wild west show comes to town featuring a wimpy man who is said to be related to Wyatt Earp.

6.21 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: AUNT BEE LEARNS TO DRIVE
7 February 1966
Aunt Bee takes driving lessons from Goober. Although she isn't licensed to drive by herself, she moves the car
for a tree trimmer and runs it into the tree.

6.22 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: LOOK PAW, I'M DANCING
14 February 1966
Opie is really looking forward to the school party this year - that is until he learns that, for the first time,
it's going to be a dance. The problem is that Opie can't dance. He quickly loses interest in the party and Andy
doesn't think much of it until Floyd reminds him that the same happened to Andy when he was Opie's age. Aunt Bee's
attempt to teach Opie a few steps proves to be just a bit outdated however. Opie is convinced he will just plain
embarrass himself, but it turns out not to be so bad after all.

6.23 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE GYPIES
21 February 1966
When a band of Gypsies comes to town and starts selling junk to people, Andy tries running them off. They put a
curse on the town, saying it will not rain again until they are allowed to come back. When there is no rain for
over a week, the town turns against Andy.

6.24 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: EAT YOUR HEART OUT
28 February 1966
Goober falls hard for the new waitress at the diner, but she only has eyes for Andy.

6.25 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: A BABY IN THE HOUSE
7 March 1966
When Aunt Bee gets a call from her niece Martha asking if she would take take care of their baby for a week while
they attend a wedding, she gladly accepts. She also assures Andy that the baby will be no trouble at all. She's
somewhat taken aback however when the baby cries every time she picks her up. Others seem to have no problem,
including Andy. She soon finds herself asking anyone who is handy to stop by the house at feeding times, as she's
convinced herself that the baby hates her. An emergency of sorts convinces her otherwise.

6.26 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE COUNTY CLERK
14 March 1966
Andy and Helen try their matchmaking skills on Howard Sprague and the pretty new county health officer,
Miss Fairchild. They find out Howard's mother keeps him on a very short leash.

6.27 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE FOSTER LADY
21 March 1966
Aunt Bee is asked to star in a commercial for Foster's Furniture Polish.

6.28 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: GOOBER'S REPLACEMENT
28 March 1966
Goober's girlfriend Flora fills in for him at the gas station when he goes on a fishing trip. When Wally sees
how she brings in the customers, he fires Goober and hires Flora.

6.29 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: THE BATTLE OF MAYBERRY
4 April 1966
Opie causes a stir in town when he writes a school paper on the historic Battle of Mayberry. He finds that the
truth does not match the legend.

6.30 [--] The Andy Griffith Show: A SINGER IN TOWN
11 April 1966
A pop singer stops in town and ends up performing a song that Aunt Bee and Clara wrote on his TV show.
Unfortunately, his version of the song does not meet their approval.
