Synopsis 1:
Jeffrey Latham, a Korean War vet who innocently wanders into a roadside
diner one dark night looking for a cup of coffee and a sandwich.
The owner takes a liking to him and offers the young man a job, free meals
and a place to sleep. He soon falls in love with a decent and
lovely local girl and seems well on the way towards building an honest
future for himself until he unwittingly becomes involved in the
crooked dealings of two shady characters who hang around the diner.
