Synopsis:
Tracing the killer of Annie Boone, two detectives question her family and

Synopsis:
One of the biggest TV-quiz money winners is murdered on the day that he is

scheduled to try for a record sum. An investigation reveals that a number of people

connected with the show had motives for killing the contestant. Prime suspects include:

 the producer, who believes that the top executive has stolen the idea on the show

 from him; his pretty assistant, who is hiding the fact that the contestant was her brother;

the director, who drinks; the executive himself, who is in love with the producer's assistant. [RF]

In New York City, an elderly woman calls Detective Hawes and reports

the apartment. When the policeman does, he finds that the old lady has been
