Summary:
For generations, a lost Vermeer painting has passed between owners,

changing the fate of all who have possessed it...whether bought in passion,

sold in desperation or stolen in greed. An eccentric school teacher,

who secretly possesses the painting today, has devoted her life to

researching its history. When she decides to share the story of the
