Based on a true story, but with altered names, the story involves "a man we are calling ’Richard Miller,’ suspected of
being a security risk and who two years ago was cleared of all suspicion." The show illustrates just how a man
(in this case a research mathematician) with no provable Communist sympathies, can lose his job and reputation because
of innuendo and untruths. Miller, with the aid of his wife and his lawyer, successfully gets the initial denial of clearance reversed.
A moving dramatization of one man's truelife experience in the aftermath of a security check that questioned his loyalty.
Though he was finally cleared in 1957. this tale emphasizes his courage in picking up the pieces of his life as it illustrates
the basic inner changes brought on by his unfortunate ordeal.
