Humorist - playwright-short story writer James Thurber has, of course, made a
mark in baseball with his midget story, "You Could Look it Up,"
and baseball pitcher Jim Brosnan can tread the writer's path since he has just
written a book. So both these regular guys will take on baseball,
writing, the world series, women, or anything else that happens to strike their
fancy.

This nineteenth century version of a twelfth century conflict between a king and
his archbishop is particularly interesting if
T.S. Eliot's "Murder in the Cathedral" and Jean Anouillrs "Beckett".
In these scenes from Tennyson's blank verse drama, King Henry II is a headstrong
monarch and his friend, the archbishop he hoped
to control, a brooding spirit full of foreboding.

Synopsis:
Based on a true story, but with altered names, the story involves "a man we are
calling ’Richard Miller,’ suspected of
being a security risk and who two years ago was cleared of all suspicion." The
show illustrates just how a man
(in this case a research mathematician) with no provable Communist sympathies,
can lose his job and reputation because
of innuendo and untruths. Miller, with the aid of his wife and his lawyer,
successfully gets the initial denial of clearance reversed.
A moving dramatization of one man's truelife experience in the aftermath of a
security check that questioned his loyalty.
Though he was finally cleared in 1957. this tale emphasizes his courage in
picking up the pieces of his life as it illustrates
the basic inner changes brought on by his unfortunate ordeal.

between a cello and a bassoon, and the arbitrary use
of a dice game to establish the melody of a waltz, are some of the pranks you'll

Rondo for Glass Harmonica" and the "Musical Joke".
