Premise:
An American boy from Montana, Terry Bowen, goes to Bombay, India to
join his father, hunter Hugh Bowen. The boy learns from the American
Counsel that his father is missing and presumably killed by a tiger.
Terry refuses to believe that his father is dead and begins a quest to
find him. He meets Raji, an Indian orphan with a pet elephant named
Maya. Raji is wanted by the police on charges of having stolen the
elephant. The two boys join forces to assist each other on their mission.
