A continuation from where "Timmy And Lassie"
leaves off. The need for farmers overseas prompts the Martins
to sell the farm and move to Australia. Unable to take Lassie with them because
of quarantine laws, Timmy leaves
Lassie with his friend Cully (Andy Clyde). Later when Cully recovers from a
heart attack, but is no longer able
to care for Lassie he gives her to forest ranger Corey Stuart (Robert Bray).
Stories relate Lassie's adventures
as she assists Corey.
11.01 "The Wayfarers" part 1 (09/06/64):
Timmy is heartbroken when the Martins' move to Australia means he must leave
Lassie behind. Cully: Andy Clyde.
11.02 "The Wayfarers" part 2 (09/13/64):
When Cully suffers a heart attack, Lassie goes for help--releasing little
Silky to the wild. Cully: Andy Clyde. Doc Weaver: Arthur Space.
11.03 "The Wayfarers" part 3 (09/20/64):
Corey Stuart, on a stop to visit the Martins, discovers Lassie and Silky are
missing. Cully: Andy Clyde.
11.04 "Incident of the Eagle" (09/27/64):
Lassie tends the babies of an injured golden eagle.
11.05 "Climb the Mountain Slowly" (10/04/64):
A logger's son wants to assume adult responsibilities before he's ready for
them.
11.06 "Leave It to Lassie" (10/11/64):
Beavers dam up a widow's stream, endangering her property and her
livelihood.
11.07 "Lassie and the Shifting Sands" (10/18/64):
Lassie helps a girl who has lost a beloved bracelet on the beach.
11.08 "Lassie and the Loner" (10/25/64):
Corey attempts to help a firefighter who is obviously intelligent, but who
makes stupid mistakes. The young man's secret? He's illiterate.
11.09 "Lassie and the Fugitive" part 1 (11/08/64):
A stray dog is accused of killing farm animals.
11.10 "Lassie and the Fugitive" part 2 (11/15/64):
Lassie, knowing the big stray dog is innocent, helps him escape.
11.11 "Nature's Way" (11/22/64):
A rancher, knowing he will be accused of overgrazing his land, hides his
cattle, endangering his young son's life.
11.12 "Crossroad" (11/29/64):
A young man is determined to quit college and go to work.
11.13 "Mountain Mystery" (12/06/64):
A mysterious sickness haunts Echo Valley.
11.14 "Realm of the Wild" (12/13/64):
Lassie tries to reunite a bear cub and his mother.
11.15 "The Little Christmas Tree" (12/20/64):
The Christmas trees being sold by the Pine Valley Church for charity are
stolen. In searching for them, Lassie befriends a boy (Teddy Eccles) who is
looking for the perfect small tree.
11.16 "Lassie Works a Miracle" (12/27/64):
Lassie tames a wild stallion everyone has told Corey is untamable.
11.17 "It's an Ill Wind" (01/03/65):
A boy's cat and her newborn kittens are lost in a stormy wood.
11.18 "Lassie and the Girl in the Canyon" (01/10/65):
An injured young woman, thrown from her horse, faces a vicious cougar.
11.19 "Stranger in the Woods" (01/24/65):
Lassie searches for a pet mynah bird that has gotten free in the woods.
11.20 "High Water" (01/31/65):
A rancher pooh-poohs Corey's lecture about lack of watershed--until his
daughter and her collie puppy Tina are trapped in floods.
11.21 "The Loser" (02/07/65):
Lassie, Corey, and an escapee from a work gang are trapped in a mine shaft.
11.22 "The Old Man in the Forest" (02/14/65):
An old hermit carries out a crusade against hunters.
11.23 "Look Homeward, Lassie" part 1 (02/21/65):
Corey and Lassie parachute from a damaged airplane, but collie and man are
separated; while Corey is in the hospital recovering from surgery, Lassie
picks her way across the desert, looking for a way home. Dave: Mark
Tapscott.
11.24 "Look Homeward, Lassie" part 2 (02/28/65):
Lassie's foray into a ghost town leaves her the captive of a cantankerous
prospector. With the help of his burro, she gets away and then attempts to
help two runaway boys in a boxcar.
11.25 "Look Homeward, Lassie" part 3 (03/07/65):
Lassie is injured while helping a cattleman avoid a stampede caused by a
predatory wolf. Hank: Clyde Howdy. Roy Roberts.
11.26 "Day of Devotion" (03/14/65):
Lassie and Corey nurse a goose that has been poisoned by lead bullets. Hank:
Clyde Howdy.
11.27 "Tinderbox" (03/21/65):
A young man warning mountain residents of a forest fire is caught in the
path of the flames. Doug: Bob Diamond.
11.28 "Lassie and the Swamp Girl" (03/28/65):
Orphaned Mattie Dawes, who lives with her grandfather in the swamp, is so
lonely that she steals Lassie. Mattie: Suzanne Cupito. Grandpa: Bruce
Mitchell.
11.29 "Trouble Below Zero" (04/04/65):
A little terrier is trapped in a refrigerator truck and Lassie must get him
out before he freezes to death.
11.30 "Runaround" (04/11/65):
An escaped chimpanzee makes a shambles of a ranger station.
11.31 "Long Ears" (04/28/65):
Lassie and Corey pursue Dusty, a runaway mule who has decided he doesn't
want to be retired from his pack-mule train job. Jake Palmer: Paul Fix.
11.32 "Lassie's Teamwork" (05/09/65):
Lassie helps out at a camp for handicapped children. Nancy Hoyt: Bonita
Granville Wrather.
11.33 "Honor Bright" (05/16/65):
Lassie helps a Boy Scout (Michael Burns) hiking on his own; he has slipped
over a cliff and badly injured his ankle.
