(Sydney: 30Nov1966 Wed. 7:30pm ABN-2)
(Melbourne: 8Dec1966 Thurs. 7:30pm ABV-2)
Synopsis 2:
Many people have learnt over the years to their dismay that what they find is
not theirs to keep. Even so, if you found a small postage stamp
sticking to a piece of chewing gum on your shoe there is a good chance you would
not think it important enough to report to the police.
Hugh not only does not think it important enough in tonight's Hugh and I in a
fit of generosity he gives the stamp to his next-door neighbour
to add to his collection. This is the start of a chain of events in which Hugh
finds himself with an unwelcome escort, and Terry finds himself
acting as Hugh's legal adviser. [Radio Times magazine]
Newspaper Review:
That was a better effort this week, boys. A clever script and Terry's "Perry
Mason" defense of Hugh on a charge of stealing a stamp stuck to his
shoe with chewing-gum dispelled doubts that the successful formula was wearing
thin. [Glasgow Evening Times]
