"My Friend Flicka" was a mid-season replacement for "The Adventures of
Champion" scheduled against ABC's "Rin Tin Tin".

After "Champion" failed to suceed against ABC's "Adventures of Rin Tin Tin"
they replaced it with "My Friend Flicka" which also lost out to "Rin Tin Tin"
All 39 episodes were filmed in color but were b/w on CBS and
rerun starting in 1957 on NBC in color.

Note:
The mare that played Flicka was the registered Arabian mare Wahana (AHR*6513) who was foaled 13 June 1950.
