US Reporter Adventure Drama series 1955-56    52 episodes x 30 min
release date 7Oct55
Starring:
Brian Keith
as Matt Anders, a writer who helps people in trouble.
with:
Arthur Space as Walter Cronan (semi-regular in the second season)
Narration: Ed Reimers

Premise:
Brian Keith gives a warm humanity to the character of Matt Anders, but
Crusader was a symbol (the title of the show is not "The Crusader" as it
is sometimes described, but "Crusader"). A sort of modern Zorro... He has
a name, Matt Anders, and a profession, journalist and writer, but the
symbol is more important, as the film explains: [MT]

"CRUSADER records the struggle of democratic people against the
enemies of freedom and justice at home and abroad. These are
the stories of the people who have been helped by the many great
organisations which are dedicated to bringing truth to those who
are fed lies, light to those who live in darkness, protection to
those who live in fear.
