"With regards to the mystery surrounding production details of The
Joey Bishop Show No. 85 shot on 11/15/63, this is one of those
cruel ironies that surface throughout television's heritage.
Show No. 85 was indeed shot 11/15/63 but was never aired
(and perhaps does not even survive) because the guest on that
program was Vaughn Meader, the comic who built his career on
his imitation of John F. Kennedy and White House life during
those golden Camelot years.

As history had it, JFK was killed a week later on 11/22/63,
and in turn, the episode, which was supposed to have featured
Meader doing at length impressions of JFK in a few routines
with Joey on the show, was killed by NBC from airing
(Meader's career was subsequently killed as well) . It was
never broadcast in network reruns nor had it made it into
the program package when the show was syndicated.

This info was garnered from a Joey Bishop production schedule
that indicated Meader as the guest for that ill-fated episode."
