Summary:
The story of Stella Johnson (Barbara Eden) a door to door saleswoman
who lives at 769 Oakwood Street in Harper Valley, Ohio with a 14 year
old daughter, Dee who goes to Harper Valley Junior High School. It
seems the wives of Harper Valley are worried because their husbands
all leave work early every morning at the same time Stella Johnson goes jogging.

When Stella Johnson dressed in baby doll pajamas goes out to get the
morning newspaper, the front door closes and she's locked out of her
house. Well, along comes Mr Mayor Otis Harper, Jr. who helps her in thru a
window of the house. Stella asks him "Where you going at 7 o'clock?",
The Mayor responds,"I'm going home for dinner", Stella tells him,
"it's 7 O'clock in the morning", and the Mayor replys, "That explains
why the sun is out". Someone takes a photo of Stella and Mayor Harper
going in the window and Stella is tossed off the school carnival
commitee for aledgedly having a affair with Mayor Harper. She gets
revenge against the Harper Valley PTA, by opening up kissing and wet
look booths at the event and raises $500 dollars for the school and
wins the Flora Simpson Reilly Award for raising more money than anyone
else. Stella thanks the Harper Valley PTA for without them, none of it
would have been possible.

posing in the role of oil rich Princess Najeeb of Ismailia, in a
scheme against Flora Simpson Reilly and the Harper Valley PTA, who
were monitoring her mail. Flora Simpson Reilly tries to sell some
swamp Land.

Summary:
At Kelley's Bar, a man asks Stella if she would like to Star in a
TV commercial for a new product they were introducing called "Kitchen
Queen" Paper Towels, and that they could film it in Stella's own
kitchen. When along comes Mr Mayor Otis HarperJr and Bobby Taylor
coming into Kelly's Bar. Mayor Harper and Bobby Taylor had just come
from an X-rated movie, "Porno Queen From Outer Space", and Bobby
overhears the conversation about Kitchen Queen and thinks it's a
domestc version of the X-rated movie he and the Mayor saw and so when
Bobby goes home and is late, Flora Simpson Reilly and Wanda meet him
at the door. Wanda is angry with Bobby because he had promised to go
with them to the movie, "Herbie Goes Bananas". Bobby tells them he
was at Kelly's Bar, and that he heard that Stella was going to star
in a X-rated movie and that they were going to film the movie in her
very own kitchen. Stella Johnson stars in a TV Commercial for The
Reilly Company's new product, Kitchen Queen Paper Towels, owned by
Flora Simpson Reilly and becomes Stella, The Reilly Girl. Flora
Simpson Reilly learns her new spokesperson for Kitchen Queen Paper
Towels is Stella Johnson, who Flora thinks is doing porno movies.
Stella becomes famous and sales soar for the new product. Dee tells
her Mother, Stella, that having Stella doing that commercial was
making Dee Famous.
Everytime Dee went any where in school everyone would say thre goes
that kid who's mother wipes up things on television. Wanda tells her
mother Flora Simpson Reilly and Wanda's husband Bobby that the month
of June has always been a popular month for paper towel sales. Flora
Simpson Reilly, thinks that anyone could do a commercial for her
product and finds a new Reilly Girl, her very own daughter Wanda.
Flora Simpson Reilly has her very own daughter, Wanda Reilly Taylor
do a commercial only, Wanda isn't able to even remember the name of
the product, Wanda keeps calling the product Chicken Clean Paper
Vowels instead of Kitchen Queen paper towels, so after more than 93
takes for the commercial, Flora wants Stella again to star in
another commercial for Kitchen Queen Paper Towels, because it was
very successful with Stella and Flora finds out that Stella wasn't
starring in a porno movie, she was doing the commercial for Kitchen
Queen Paper Towels,and Bobby heard wrong.

Summary:
Stella is collecting empty beer cans so she could raise money.
The Harper Valley PTA begins spreading rumors that Stella is an
alcoholic. When Flora Simpson Reilly arrives at the La Moderne
Beauty Shop early and Stella is there and hair dresser Cassie
Bowman tells Flora Sipson Reilly that Flora would have to wait.
Flora Simpson Reilly is mad and leaves. Flora Simpson Reilly,
her daughter Wanda and Wanda's husband, Bobby try driving hair
dresser Cassie Bowman out of business because she's a friend of
Stella and so when Flora Simpson Reilly and Bobby set up Wanda
with her very own Beauty shop called Mondo Wanda's, next door
to the La Moderne Beauty Shop. Stella Johnson poses as hair expert,
Madame Gabrielle De Paris,and wreaks gooey revenge against Wanda
and runs Wanda out of business and all the ladies of Harper
Valley come running to the La Moderne Beauty Shop and Cassie
Bowman is in business again. Flora Simpson Reilly finds out that
Stella was not a alcoholic and that Stella was just collecting
the empty beer cans for raising money.

Reilly decides she will save the Harper Valley Tree from being
cut and Flora Simpson Reilly dedicates the park in the name of
her late husband, Jonathan Randolph Reilly, who Flora sometimes
called JR Reilly in the show.

Summary:
Business is slow at Kelley's Bar and Kelly would like to hire a
piano player and entertainment so he could get more business,
though he needs an entertainment license but every time he tries
for one, Flora Simpson Reilly convinces the Mayor not to give one.
Stella convinces Mayor Harper he should give Kelley the license.
When Flora Simpson Reilly finds out that the Mayor is giving
Kelley a license she refuses to help Mayor Harper with his
campaign for re-election. It's election time in Harper Valley,
and the heated race between incumbent Mr Mayor Otis Harper, Jr.
and Bobby Taylor finds Stella Johnson again in opposition with
the Reilly's, when Stella becomes Mayor Harper's Campaign Manager
and relects Mayor Harper.

2.01 [14] Harper Valley: MAKE ROOM FOR UNCLE BUSTER

Summary:
The 2nd season begins with dropping the PTA concept of the show
and from the title. Upon returning home from a health food
convention in Cleveland, Stella and Daughter Dee come home to a
great commotion. The remainder of a burnt out truck is smoking
in front of their house and the cause of it all is Stella's
Uncle Winslow Homer Smith who everyone calls Uncle Buster. He is
an inventer who's every invention busts. It seems Uncle Buster
has come to Harper Valley and is about to be arrested. Stella
helps clear him and Buster decides to move in with Stella and
daughter Dee and stay in Harper Valley for awhile. Mills Watson
joins the show in this episode in the role of Stella's Uncle.
Note:
Begining with this episode the theme song is now with new lyrics
and is called "Harper Valley USA"

Summary:

Stella breaks into a city council meeting to expose the fire
department's inefficiency; though surprise learns that Mrs Flora
Simpson Reilly is the Fire Chief Of Harper Valley. When the whole
town joins in Stella's protest, Flora is voted out and Stella is
voted in and relucantly gets to be Firechief of Harper Valley and
Stella takes her new responsibility seriously and gathers a group
of volunteers and Flora Simpson Reilly is determined to fight
proving Stella is incompetent. The tables turn when Flora Simpson
Reilly who is unhappy about losing the tax benefits being Fire
Chief Of Harper Valley afforded her devises a scheme. Flora
Simpson Reilly plans a fire in her own Reilly Paper Company
warehouse to collect insurance money for water damage caused by
Stella's Fire Fighters though Stella and her Friends are one step
ahead of Flora Simpson Reilly. Later Harper Valley gets a new Firechief.

Summary:
Cousin Della is like a Jeannie's-sister role for Barbara Eden.
Della comes to Harper Valley visiting her Country Cousins and
tells Dee (Stella's daughter) that Dee is in the Really Fun Years
(The Teenage Years). Della has been married 4 times and is looking
for her 5th wealthy husband. Della is mistaken for Stella when
Della goes after Flora Simpson Reilly's son-in-law. Della wasn't
interested in Flora Simpson Reilly's son-in-law until she heard
that magic word " Wealthy". Della wanted a wealthy husband though
Flora Simpson Reilly's son-in-law is already married to his wife
Wanda who is Flora Simpson Reilly's daughter. Della leaves Harper
Valley and goes after an elderly wealthy man hoping he will be her 5th Husband.
Note:
Barbara Eden plays "Stella Johnson" and her cousin "Della".

Summary:
When Stella and daughter Dee and Dee's teenage friends go camping
in Grizzly Gap camp grounds near Harper Valley, little do they
know what surprises are in store for them. The 1st one is the
Reilly's Limousine trailer and exotic camping equiptment when
Scarlett and her family decided to "rough it" the luxurious way.
The other surprise is when they meet a unusual stranger who's
mysterious ways both fascinate and unsettle them. Meanwhile in
Harper Valley, Uncle Buster and Mayor Otis Harper Jr hear a news
report that a man has escaped from jail and was last seen in the
area of the Grizzly Gap camp grounds near Harper Valley. Worried
Uncle Buster and Mayor Harper stop playing their game of cards
and go to rescue Stella and the girls.
