Summary:
Four men who last met in battle during the Allied invsion of Italy
in 1943 are summoned to Foxgrove Manor, to hear a message recorded
shortly before his death by Colonel Bacon (Anthony Bushell), their
wartime commanding officer. He appeals to them to form a quartet
dedicated to fighting injustice and tyranny. The Colonel has left
a large sum of money for that purpose. They agree and become
the Four Just Men. The opening episode features all Four Just Men,
thereafter, they appear on a 4 week rota with the occasional
contribution usually by telephone from one of the others.
The series is based on, but nothing like the novel by Edgar Wallace.

Vito is a stateless orphan who works as a cabin boy on board
a tramp steamer. His life is made a constant misery by the

help Vito to get permission to stay in England. This brings
