Synopsis:
Flip refuses to help Mr. Kelly set up a new stage route to Rock Port because he
has intentions of marrying Priscilla
Cabot--a prim and proper young lady from Boston who's come out West to teach
school. But Mr. Kelly, recognizing the
relationship to be a mismatch, vows the marriage would be over his "dead body"
and tricks Flip into going to Mesa Flats,
the first stop on the new route, by falsely assuring the couple that the town
was building a schoolhouse and much in
need of a schoolmarm. To Kelly's delight, the trip to Mesa Flats is far from
enjoyable for Priscilla when she has to
share the coach with a whiskey-drinking but gentlemanly buffalo hunter and
endure the embarrassment of her lingerie box
being opened by a sheriff looking for stolen money, exposure to supper table
talk of buffalo skinnings, Indian threats,
watching a young robber die in the stage, and being taken hostage by the other
outlaws who wanted information on where
their partner hid the money. [bj]
Synopsis:
Kelly promises to get a job as a teacher for Flip's fiancee if Flip opens a
branch office in Mesa Flats. The trip
to Mesa Flats, however causes the young lady from Boston to question her
decision to settle in the west. [James Beer]
