FOR THE RANGER AND TONTO, THAT SOMEONE HAD WITNESSED THE KILLING.
WILL DONOVAN, ANOTHER RANCHER IS ACCUSED OF THE KILLING BY A CLUE
LEFT BY DEKKER. DEKKER AND HIS RANCHHANDS KIDNAP THE SOMMERS' AND ARRANGE A
RUNAWAY WAGON ACCIDENT, SO YOUNG DANNY, CANNOT TESTIFY AT DONOVAN'S HEARING.
THE RANGER AND TONTO ARRIVE IN TIME TO STOP THE RUNAWAY AND GET THEM BACK

The masked man helps a sheriff battle outlaws.
Synopsis [RHC]
THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO, WITH A TIP FROM THE STAGE LINE, INTERCEPT A HOLD UP
OF A GOLD SHIPMENT BY LEM CRATER AND HIS GANG. THE OUTLAWS GET AWAY WHEN
THEY STOP TO CHECK ON THE OCCUPANTS OF THE STAGE.
LEM AND HIS TWO HENCHMEN, SLIM AND DOC, ARE HOLD UP IN THE MINING TOWN OF SMOKE TREE.
THE TOWN HAS BUILT A NEW JAIL AND HAS ADVERTISED FOR A SHERIFF. THE ONLY TAKER IS
A YOUNG INEXPERIENCED BUCKLEY WEBB. THEY TELL HIM IF HE WANTS IT, THE JOB IS HIS.
LEM BEGINS SHOOTING UP THE MINING CAMP, TERRORIZING THE MINERS. BUCK GOES OUT TO
FACE LEM, BUT LEM'S TWO HENCHMEN BLOW UP THE NEW JAIL KNOCKING THE YOUNG MAN
UNCONSCIOUS. HE IS TIED TO HIS HORSE AND HIS HORSE IS SCARED OUT OF TOWN BY THE THREE
VILLAINS. THE RANGER AND TONTO GIVE CHASE LASSO-ING LEM'S TWO MEN FROM THEIR HORSES,
BUT LEM RIDES AWAY. BUCK HAS FALLEN FROM HIS HORSE SO OUR HEROES STOP TO HELP HIM.
THE RANGER ENCOURAGES BUCK TO GO BACK AND FACE LEM CRATER.
TO HELP OUT TONTO GOES TO THE CAMP DISGUISED AS A RESERVATION INDIAN WHO CONVINCES
LEMS'S TWO CRONIES HE HAS FOUND SILVER AND WILL DO ANYTHING FOR A BOTTLE OF WHISKEY.
TONTO LEADS THEM AWAY FROM SMOKE TREE. BUCK ARRIVES IN TOWN TO FACE CRATER,
BUT THE TERRIFIED CRATER TRIES TO SHOOT THE YOUNG SHERIFF WITH A RIFLE FROM INSIDE HIS TENT.
BUCK CHARGES CRATER AND FINALLY OVERPOWERS HIM.
DETERMINED TO KEEP HIS PRISONER BUCK DECIDES TO TAKE CRATER INTO THE DEEP MINE SHAFT.
THE MINERS LOWER THEM DOWN AND BUCK LOCKS THE CAGE IN PLACE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHAFT.
THE TWO CRONIES HAVE HEARD SHOTS, ABANDON TONTO AND RETURN TO SMOKE TREE.
TONTO, WHO HAS BEEN RIDING A MULE, GOES FOR SCOUT AND RETURNS TO THE RANGER.
TO TELL HIM WHAT HAS HAPPENED.
SLIM AND DOC, BEGIN PUTTING BURNING GREEN TREE LIMBS DOWN THE SHAFT TRYING TO SMOKE
THE SHERIFF AND HIS PRISONER OUT OF THE SHAFT. FINALLY CRATER TELLS HIS MEN TO DROP THEIR
GUNS AND LEAVE TOWN. THEY COMPLY. THE RANGER AND TONTO ARRIVE BUT NOW THERE IS NO
REPLY FROM DEEP IN THE MINE SHAFT. THE RANGER AND TONTO ARRIVE. THE RANGER SOAKS
DOWN A BLANKET, AND WITH IT WRAPPED HIM LOWERS HIMSELF INTO THE SHAFT, TO FIND THE
MEN UNCONSCIOUS. HE FREES THE LIFT AND THE MINERS HOIST THEM UP. BUCK RECOVERS, BUT
CRATER HAS PERISHED. THE RANGER REMARKS THAT BUCK WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT LAWMAN,
BECAUSE HE HAS FACED HIS OWN PROBLEMS AND CAN NOW HELP OTHERS TO FACE THEIRS.

Synopsis [RHC]
A LOOTING AND KILLING SPREE HAS THE LOCAL TERRITORY IN TERROR.
THE LEADER OF THE GANG IS DRESSED EXACTLY LIKE THE LONE RANGER.
SHERIFF BRAD CALLOWAY, EASILY CAPTURES THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO
AND PUTS THEM IN JAIL. A ROUGE, BY THE SHERIFF CONVINCES HIM HE
HAS THE "REAL" LONE RANGER, AND RELEASES HIM TO GO FIND THE IMPOSTER.
DISGUISED AS AN OLD PROSPECTOR, WITH TONTO TOO IN DISGUISE, THE PAIR
WANDER THE LOCAL MINING AREA, HOPING FOR A CLUE. THEY FIND A MINER
SHOT TO DEATH, WITH HIS DOG STILL WITH HIM. THEY FOLLOW THE DOG HOME,
AND MEET YOUNG JOE WILKINS AND HIS MOTHER AND MUST TELL THEM THE
BAD NEWS. THE OLD PROSPECTOR (LR) AND GREY HORSE (TONTO) DELIVER
THEIR ORE TO THE STAMP PLANT, BUT THE OWNER, MR. TELLER, STILL DRESSED
AS THE CONTERFEIT RANGER SUSPECTS A TRAP. THE RANGER AND TONTO SET A
TRAP AND CAPTURE TWO OF TELLERS HENCHMEN. YOUNG JOE WILKINS, ARMED
WITH A RIFLE GETS THE DROP ON THEM AND THE HENCHMEN RUN AWAY.
TELLER AND HIS GANG RETURN AND CAPTURE THE RANGER, TONTO, AND JOE.
TURNS OUT MR. TELLER IS REALLY AN OUTLAW NAMED RANKIN THAT HAD
VOWED REVENGE ON THE RANGER FOR HIS CAPTURE, YEARS PREVIOUSLY.
THEY TIE THEM, LOOSELY, IN THE OLD MINE, AND RIG A SERIES OF DYNAMITE
EXPLOSIONS, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE AN ACCIDENT. OUR HEROES ARE SUSPICIOUS,
SO MAKE THEIR WAY CAREFULLY DISARMING THE EXPLOSIVES AS THEY GO.
SHERIFF CALLOWAY AND HIS POSSE BEING LED BY, BUCK, THE BOY'S DOG,
ENTER THE MINE, JUST AS THE RANGER DISARMS THE LAST TRAP. THEY LEAVE THE MINE,
WITH THE RANGER CARRYING ONE OF THE BOXES OF EXPLOSIVES.
THEY ARE CONFRONTED BY TELLER/RANKIN AND HIS GANG, BUT THE RANGER
THREATENS TO BLOW THEM ALL UP. TELLER AND HIS GANG SURRENDER.

Synopsis [RHC]
The Douglas Gang has been terrorizing the territory with a series of holdups.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto have been hot on their trail, but always a moment
too late to catch them. We meet the retiring Sheriff of Granite Creek, Griff Allison,
and his grandson Johnny Allison. The Douglas Gang are robbing the bank,
and Griff and his deputy Jim Hannah shoot it out with them on the street.
The gang escapes, but not before Griff takes a glancing bullet to the head,
resulting in blindness. The Ranger and Tonto hear of their old friends tragedy,
and come into town to visit, and see if he can tell them, where the gang might
be hiding in his territory. The Ranger and Tonto set off for the area, and eventually
split up to cover more ground. The Ranger shoots it out with the gang, and
captures one brother, who has difficulty mounting his horse. In town the Ranger,
learns from grandson Johnny, that old Griff is irritable, beside himself because
of his blindness, and feeling pretty useless. The Ranger breaks one of his own
revolvers and tells Johnny to give it to his grandfather, and that he wants it back
by the morning. Alone, Griff breaks down, and then picks up the revolver.
Early in the morning the two remaining Douglas brothers fein there way into the
jail, knocking out Deputy Hannah, and escape. The Ranger and Tonto arrive
a few minutes later, but before they can set off Griff gives the Ranger back
his revolver, as good as new. Our heroes trail the gang closely and they start to
take cover in an old mine. Two are captured immediately, but Cole Douglas
enters the mine. The Ranger follows, and gets Cole to throw out his gun.
He does, but creates a minor cave, by knocking over a timber. The Ranger
recovers quickly and gets the drop on Cole. In town, the people of Granite Creek,
surprise Griff with his own gunsmith shop. We find out half of the investment has
come from The Lone Ranger in the form of silver and the rest was made up by the
grateful townspeople, for Griff's 40 years of service. [RHC]

Synopsis [RHC]
A padre is held up by three men in masks. They want the Cross of Santo Domingo,
which has many jewels imbedded in it. During the holdup, one of the outlaws is
accidently shot. The three mount and ride off. The Ranger and Tonto talk to
Father Juan, and then get after the outlaws trail. When our heroes come upon,
Jed, the wounded outlaw left by his partners, he says one word, before he dies.
"Jeweler". The other two outlaws arrive in Pine Gap, to find out one is outlaw
Brick Norton and the other is the local jeweler Arley McQueen, who wants
his share of the jewels to pay for a trip east to find a doctor, who will fix the
damage done by a gunshot wound, by the father, while father and son were on
a hunting trip. We meet Tommy, who is in a wheelchair and his mother Amy.
The Ranger and Tonto talk to the sheriff, about the town jeweler, and then go
to his shop to see if two men have contacted him about removing jewels from a cross.
He denies it, with Brick Norton hidden in a closet. The Ranger spots some mud on
the carpet similar to the mud on the trail, where they met Father Juan. The Ranger
intentionally tells the jeweler where they'll be camped. That evening, Brick Norton,
sneaks up on the camp and pumps lead into the sleeping bags. The Ranger shoots,
but only shoots the rifle from the outlaws hands. He escapes, and they follow, but
he eludes them. The Ranger is sure he'll go back to Pine Gap. Norton returns to the
jeweler's shop and demands the cross, but he has already hidden it in the blanket
covering his wheelchair bound son's legs. Tonto comes in the front door and confronts
the jeweler, with his lies. The Ranger comes in. Norton, who was in the back room
with the boy, forces the Ranger and Tonto to toss their weapons into the corner, and
lines them all up against a counter. The jeweler refuses, to tell Norton where he has
hidden the cross. When Norton is about to shoot the jeweler, Tommy jumps from
his wheelchair offering the cross to save his father. The distraction is enough for the
Ranger to knock the gun from Norton's hand and they fight it out. The Ranger
eventually overpowers the outlaw outside the store. At the conclusion, we find out
Arley McQueen, will go to jail for a while, for his part in the robbery, but because of
the shock of almost seeing his father killed, when he returns to his family, Tommy will
be walking. The cross, once more has become a symbol of "good". [RHC]

Brief Synopsis:
A chief's two sons battle for leadership of the tribe.
Synopsis: [RHC]
The Ranger and Tonto, arrive just in time to see an ambush of a stagecoach
by two men. At the coach, they meet their old friend, Chief White Hawk's son,
Little Hawk, who has just returned from the east, having gotten a "white man's"
education. They return with him to his village, where we meet his aging father
White Hawk, and his brother Fleet Horse. The Ranger is challenged by Fleet Horse
to a "stick" fight, so he can remain in the village. Little Hawk wants to use his higher
education, to help his people irrigate their barren land. We find out that Fleet Horse
wants his brother dead so he can be chief, and is being goaded by the two white men,
Frank Carter and his partner Dave. They could then with Fleet Horse as the leader,
bring the tribe to war, so they can purchase the area called Buffalo Gap.
Young Arrowfoot, shows the Ranger and Tonto a piece of silver rock, similar to
the Ranger's spent bullet. They go to Buffalo gap to investigate and find rich
deposits of silver. They are ambushed by Carter and his henchman, but get the
better of them. Little Hawk leaves the irrigation project and returns to the empty
village because a message from Fleet Horse tells him his father is gravely ill.
At the village, he is attacked by his brother and they fight it out. Fleet Horse,
gets the advantage, and is holding a knife at his brother's throat.
The Ranger arrives, but before he can do anything, White Hawk emerges from his
tent, with a rifle and shoots and kills his son Fleet Horse. Tonto and the Lone Ranger,
stay for the next day, when a ceremony, makes Little Hawk the new chief of his tribe.[RHC]

Synopsis [RHC]
The Lone Ranger and Tonto hear three shots fired and come to the rescue of Ben Sutherland,
pinned by a falling beam, while he alone, is finishing the Mary Whitecloud School.
They had seen the grave of the 25 year old women, who had been educated in the east, but
had been killed by renegades. A wealthy benefactor, had given Mary $ 10,000 in gold, but it
had been stolen by Steve Grote and his partner Blackhawk. Grote had been captured, tried
and sentenced to hang this very day. They need a wagon to transport Ben to the doctor, so
Tonto goes to town to get one. We find Blackhawk and Vance Kiley, Grote's lawyer, in
conversation. Blackhawk wants Kiley to go to Grote, before he hangs, to tell him where he
hid the gold. He goes, but Grote, doesn't trust his shady lawyer. Tonto, is in town, and Grote
recognizes him, and tells the deputy, that Tonto is his partner Blackhawk. The deputy arrests
Tonto and puts him in the cell next to Grote. Grote thinks he has knocked Kiley inconscious,
so he tells Tonto, that he and the Ranger should dig up the gold, and he it goes to it's rightfull
place. He draws Tonto a map. The sheriff, knows Tonto is not Blackhawk and releases him.
On his way back, with the wagon, Tonto is chased by Blackhawk and Kiley, but he and Scout,
abandon the wagon and manage to slip away. He returns to the Ranger and Ben, and shows
them the map. Blackhawk and Kiley are watching from a distance. The Ranger and Tonto go
to the site, but it is an island surrounded by quicksand. A rope around a tree on the island,
and the other around Silver's saddle horn, the Ranger, makes his way across to the island.
He finds the gold and tosses it to Tonto's side. While the Ranger is crossing the quicksand,
Blackhawk sneaks up on Tonto and knocks him unconcious to take the gold fom him.
Blackhawk cuts the rope tied to Silver and the Ranger falls into the quicksand. Blackhawk,
then sticks a knife in his partner Kiley and runs off to his horse and leaves. Then the tree stump
breaks on the Ranger, so he fashions a lariat from the rope and snags Silver's saddle horn.
Silver pulls the masked man to safety. As he gets to a recovering Tonto, he must disarm Kiley
who has pulled his revolver. The Ranger and Silver persue Blackhawk, knock him from his
horse and capture him. We find the Ranger and Tonto saying goodbye to Ben Sutherland,
who now has the money and the men to finish Mary Whitecloud's dream, a school to educate
the chidren of her tribe. [RHC]

Synopsis [RHC]
The Lone Ranger and Tonto see Slim Wiley, former convicted felon, leading his
quarter horse Thunder into town for a race against a Cheyenne pony named Wind Spirit.
The Ranger and Tonto had sent Wiley to prison three years earlier. Tonto doesn't trust this former
bad fellow in a fair race against an Indian pony. If he pulled something crooked, it would surely
cause trouble between Indian and white man. so Tonto goes into town to watch the race.
In town we meet Major Halliday, his daughter Hazel Halliday, Mark Allen, the school teacher,
and Marshal Ed McGuire.
Chief Iron Hand and his band of Cheyenne arrive with their race pony, Wind Spirit,
ridden by young Grey Feather, who is Chief Iron Hands nephew.
Before the race can begin, Wiley wagers $500 with Iron Hand, who puts up a bag of gold.
Iron Hand wants Mark Allen, whom he calls "Cam-A-Tan" to hold the money and the gold.
Mark takes the bets up to his hotel room.
The race begins, with Tonto watching, and the Indian pony wins by a neck.
Iron Hand comes for his winnings, and Mark has already gone up stairs to get the money and gold.
Too much time has gone by, so they all go upstairs to find Mark unconscious on the floor.
Marshal McGuire badgers Mark for losing the money to a burly masked bandit,
and then insults Iron Hand, who leaves very angry.
The masked man and Tonto intercept Mark and Hazel Halliday. They discover the two would like
to get married, even if Major Halliday is against it. The Ranger convinces Mark he must return to
face this challenge to his manhood and not run away. Even if he goes down fighting, he is a success.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto intercept Slim Wiley on his way out of town, to search him for the missing
money and gold. He doesn't have it and explains that he is leaving, because he didn't want to be
blamed for the missing loot and he knows Iron Hand wants revenge for the insult given to him by the
Marshal and will return with his braves from their village once they retrieve their guns.
Mark and Hazel return to town but, Marshal McGuire beats up Mark, who must be taken to the hotel.
The Ranger arrives in town, to ask Hazel, if Marshal McGuire was ever jealous of her and Mark's relationship.
Her reply is yes, and the masked man confronts McGuire who puts up a fight, and finally admits, he had
taken the money and gold and put them in Mark's saddle bags to discredit him, so a marriage between
Mark and Hazel would not take place. Tonto arrives and tells them Iron Hand and his braves are on their way.
They realize Mark has left with the money and gold, to avert the attack on the town. The Ranger knows that
this will not be enough to appease the insult to Iron Hand, so our heroes, leave with Marshal McGuire in tow.
Mark has confronted Iron Hand, who although he has his gold and money back, still wants revenge on the
white man. He sticks Mark with a spear, and when Mark won't back down he is about to do it again, when
the Ranger rides up and shoots the spear from his hand. The Ranger forces McGuire to tell his story and
apologize to Iron Hand. He does and all is forgiven.
Our heroes ride away, and Iron Hand must tell the others that the friend to Indian and White Man alike are
Tonto and The Lone Ranger.

Synopsis [RHC]
Tonto brings a week old newspaper back to their camp. They read that their old friend
Lee Po is to be married this very day. They set out for the town of Forgan's Flat,
where Lee Po has his laundry. On their way there they see the stage being held up,
and the two hold up men, kidnap the only passenger, Lee Po's bride, Mah Lin Soong.
Our heroes catch up, but the two men threaten to kill the girl, if the Ranger and Tonto
don't leave.
Lee Po is devastated, by an empty stage, much to the amusement of some of the
townspeople. Sheriff Ike Kane prepares to lead a posse, in a search.
Lee Po, back in his shop is visited by the Lone Ranger and Tonto, where they size it up
as the prejudice of some of the townspeople, when a message wrapped around a rock,
comes through one of the windows and tells Lee Po to leave town,
if he ever wants to see the girl again.
The Ranger and Tonto are awakened from their sleep at their camp, by Silver.
They smell tar and follow it to it's source. J.S. Forgan and his two henchmen,
Slick and Ed, have brought Lee Po into the countryside to tar him. The Ranger,
stops them and in a rage, smears tar on the shirts of the three men. The Ranger
and Tonto take Lee Po to their camp. The Ranger goes into town dressed up as
Sven Olsen, an old laundry man and will be in business tomorrow. The next day,
Sven is in the front of the shop and Tonto and Lee Po are in the back room.
The three from the night before, bring in their shirts with tar on them to be cleaned.
Sven tells them, he will have to go get some naptha, and tells them to wait.
Lee Po drops a lid alerting the men, who break into the room and a fight breaks out.
They get the better of Lee Po and Tonto, and Forgan is about to cut Tonto's throat,
when Sven [LR} shoots the knife out of his hand with the Sheriff's gun.
Threats as to the whereabouts of the girl, don't work on Forgan, but Tonto threatens
Slick Friley, and he says he'll talk.
At an old shack the original kinappers, Ray and Ben, have just received money
from Jennie Fisher, sent by Forgan to finish the girl off.
Jennie leaves and the two men get ready to kill Mah Lin.
A noise at the door alerts them, but the Ranger comes in the back door and
gets the drop on them. Later in town, Lee Po and his bride are finally getting to know each other. [RHC]

Synopsis:

The Ranger and Tonto come upon a scene of what appears to be a young man on a runaway horse.
The rider falls from his horse and they come to his aid. He turns out to be a "she" and is unconscious.
They care for her until she has recovered, but as she is about to explain, the marshal of Panamint,
Roy Bell, gets the drop on the Ranger. Tonto, who was off getting wood for the fire gets the drop
on the marshal. The marshal and his girlfriend, Miss Sarah Edwards, explain that he has captured
one of the Hunsaker gang, the Sonora Kid and is holding him for trial. Big Joe Hunsaker has vowed
to come into town and release his captured crony. The town has had a meeting, and only, Cal Ames,
the Wells Fargo Agent, backs Roy in his bid to hold his prisoner in jail, until his trial.
The Ranger calms Miss Edwards, by telling her that Roy won't face the Hunsaker Gang alone.
The young pair return to town, and our heroes go to the ranch stronghold of the gang.
They see a rider from town, going to the ranch. It is Ames, the Wells Fargo Agent and we find that
Hunsaker also wants to capture a gold shipment, and he is being given the details by the crooked Ames.
Our heroes dismount and from different directions try to get closer to the ranch. Tonto is captured,
and is about to be "made to talk" with a branding iron, but the Ranger creates a diversion, and rescues
his friend. They ride far enough away for Tonto to make camp and the Ranger returns to the ranch
on foot, just in time to hear their plans for the next day.
The next day, Marshall Roy Bell, tries to deputize some of the towns leading citizens, but he has no
takers except for the crooked Wells Fargo Agent, Cal Ames. The Ranger in the meantime has talked
to Sarah in her hotel room on the second floor of the hotel.
Roy is about to go out to meet Hunsaker and his six henchmen, when the Ranger and Tonto intervene.
The Ranger goes out to Hunsaker, and say he wants his guns, because there is a law about carrying guns
in town. Big Joe Hunsaker challenges the Ranger into trying and take away his guns. As they walked
towards each other, Hunsaker is blinded by the light from a mirror. The Ranger easily takes his guns.
Sarah, from her room has blinded Hunsaker. Cal Ames draws his pistol to shoot the Ranger from behind
but Roy disarms him, while Tonto takes care of one the henchmen in a short fight. The entire gang is led
off to jail. At the conclusion, Roy, as he talks to Sarah, is amazed at how easily The Lone Ranger
disarmed Hunsaker, and she replies: "...he had help from above." [RHC]

Synopsis [RHC]
Two brothers stop a train with signal torpedoes, and then attempt to kill the owner
of this portion of the railroad. The engineer is shot, but manages to get the train moving.
Tonto pursues the two bandits, and the Ranger must board the moving train to get it stopped.
At Miller's Junction we meet Frank Miller and his telegraph employee Ed Powell.
The two brothers ride into town and they recognize the older brother as Wynn Harkey.
Frank Miller as a union major, had stopped Quantrell and his men at the end of the war.
Wynn Harkey was one of the men sent to prison, who rode with Quantrell. We meet Wynn's
brother Clint, who as a union soldier, had taken a bullet in the throat leaving him unable to speak.
Wynn has vowed revenge, by killing Frank Miller. The Ranger tries his best to convince Clint,
that his brother is wrong, and all the hatred from the war must be forgotten. When Wynn is about
to gun down Miller, Clint takes the bullet in the arm. Wynn jumps on a departing train, followed
by the Ranger. With all his bullets spent, Wynn goes to meet the Ranger on the top of the moving
train cars. During the fight Wynn, falls from the train and is killed. In town Clint is recovering from
his wound and will work for Frank Miller at his train station. [RHC]

Synopsis [RHC]
The McKeever gang has just finished robbing a stage, so the Masked Man and Tonto
follow their trail to their camp. After a brief fight, they capture all three and tie them up.
Seth tells the Ranger, they have a five day ride to the nearest town and they're not going
to make it. We discover, the youngest of the group, Chris, had his parents killed, by a
sheriff and his posse, when outlaws took refuge in their ranch house. The Ranger sees
some good in the boy, and hopes he can get him out from under his Uncle Seth's influence.
Ward is bitten by a rattler, and the Ranger, unties Chris, to help him treat the wound,
hopefully to remove a lot of the poison. The Ranger tells Chris what a fine job he did and
with those hands, he would have made a fine doctor.
Another day into their ride, they know they must find a place to cross the river, so they can
cut down the length of their ride, so they can get Ward, who is not doing well, to a doctor.
Chris, with prompting from his uncle, tells our heroes, he knows a safe place to cross at
Devil's Point. When they arrive Tonto begins to cross on foot, to see if it is safe, but he is
soon sinking in quicksand. The Ranger must give up his guns, to get the two outlaws to help.
Once he has a gun, Seth refuses, but Chris takes the gun and tells his uncle that he must help.
Seth and the Ranger, go out and with tree branches, reach Tonto and pull him to safety.
Seth knocks the revolvers, from his nephew's hands and is about to kill the Ranger, but
Chris steps in front of the shot, and takes it in the shoulder. Tonto attacks Seth and
overpowers him. The Ranger tells Chris, he will do all he can to help Chris with the law,
especially after saving his life. [RHC]

The Lone Ranger and Tonto hear shots and ride in the general direction.
They find two men about to run off cattle. They have gunned a man down off his horse.
Tonto stays to help the downed man, and The Ranger pursues the two men into a canyon.
The two disappear, but he finds a wrist bracelet. He is set upon by and Indian, who
demands to know what is going on. At gunpoint The Ranger leads the Indian, Willy Moon,
back to Tonto and as we discover a dead Indian. Willy Moon identifies him as Standing Bear,
the son of Chief Imbray, of the Pima Tribe.

Willy Moon makes the comment that the chief only has one son left : " A dumb kid".
Willy takes Standing Bear's body back to his father. When The Ranger and Tonto arrive
a burial ceremony is taking place. They talk to Chief Imbray, Willy Moon and his remaining
son, Bright Eagle, who has just returned to his tribe by the white men. He had been lost
during the war. Willy Moon had similar circumstances, and is a nephew of the Chief.
The bracelet The Ranger found was made by convict labour, in the state penitentiary.
This convinces Chief Imbray, that two men, Drake and Sloat, who had rustled some of
their cattle before, are responsible for the death of his son. Willy Moon goads his uncle
into thinking that war is the only answer, since the white marshal has refused to help them
stop these cattle rustlings. Willy also promotes the fact, that Bright Eagle is not yet a man
and is incapable of leading the Pima people against the white man.

The Ranger questions Imbray, if he is sure Willy Moon is his nephew, since he has only
just returned. Imbray says he wears the same medallion around his neck, that he gave
him as a small child. That very evening, Bright Eagle, must go to the sacred place, with
the sacred, mystical powders to burn in his fire and face the "Spirits Of Evil".
Tonto says he will find this place, by the signs and our heroes leave the village.
Willy rides to the two men, Drake and Sloat, who he is in cahoots with, trying to
cause a war, to be sure, the Chief is killed, and now to do away with Bright Eagle,
so Willy, as the Chiefs heir, can claim the land and the cattle, for himself.
Willy tells the two men he will lead them to the sacred place so they can kill Bright Eagle,
while he is overcome by the sacred, mystical powders.

Close to evening the Ranger and Tonto intercept Bright Eagle on his way to the sacred place.
Tonto takes the huge blanket from Bright Eagle, for a disguise and takes his his place.
Night falls, and the Ranger and Bright Eagle spot the two men sent to kill him.
Tonto does his part and builds a smoky fire, and when the two men think the young man is
in the depths of the sacred powders, sneak down to do him in. As they are about to strike,
the Ranger yells a warning to Tonto, who immediately overcomes Drake, while Bright Eagle
fights it out with Sloat. He eventually wins without interference from the Ranger, who knows
he must overcome this evil on his own. The Ranger and Tonto will camp close by with
the two captured men, so Bright Eagle and continue with his manhood ceremony.
In the morning the Ranger and Tonto return to the village, and the two men are put in a corral,
with Tonto on guard.

Willy Moon gets his partners horses and then sneaks up behind Tonto and slugs him with his pistol.
However, Tonto's revolver goes off alerting the Indian camp and the Ranger. The three flee after
setting fire to the loose straw in the corral. During their escape they come upon Bright Eagle returning
to his village, and take him as a hostage. When our heroes and the Indian warriors catch up with them
they are high on a cliff and threaten to throw Bright Eagle off, unless Chief Imbray gives them all
of his remaining cattle. The Ranger tells the Chief to stall them, while he finds a way up behind them.
The Ranger finally gets up behind them and is a death struggle with the three. As Willy is about to club
the Ranger with his pistol, the partially tied Bright Eagle slams into Willy, knocking him off the cliff.
The Ranger finally gets the drop on the remaining two white men.

We find out that the three men had met in prison and had killed Chief Imbray's real nephew for the amulet.

Synopsis [RHC]
THE CALICO KID AND HIS TWO HENCHMAN ROB A BANK.
TONTO INTERVENES, WOUNDING THE CALICO KID. THE OUTLAWS ESCAPE,
AND SPLIT UP. THE WOUNDED CALICO KID IS TAKEN IN BY MAMA ANGEL,
BUT HE APPEARS TO BE TOO BIG AN INFLUENCE ON HER ADOPTED SON MANUELO.
THE RANGER DISGUISED AS AN AGED SADDLE TRAMP, TRIES TO GET THE CALICO
KID TO REALEASE HIS HOLD ON THE YOUNG BOY. WHEN CALICO'S CRIME PARTNERS
RETURN FOR THEIR SHARE OF THE LOOT, HE PROVES TO THE YOUNG MANUELO, THAT
HE IS A COWARD AND NOW ALL MUST BE SAVED BY THE RANGER & TONTO.

THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO HAVE ALREADY SAVED TOM AND KATE ELLESWORTH
FROM THEIR RUNAWAY WAGON. WHEN THEY ARRIVE IN TOWN THEY WITNESS THE
ROBBERY OF THE "WESTERN EXPRESS OFFICE", BY THE BRODY BROTHERS WHO ARE IN
CAHOOTS WITH THE LOCAL WATCH REPAIR BUSINNESSMAN, JOE BENSON.
JOE THREATENS TOM WITH HIS WIFE DEATH, IF HE POINTS THE FINGER AT THE GRODY
BROTHERS. TOM SUFFERS FROM "HYSTERICAL BLINDNESS" AND ON THE WAY TO A SPECIALIST,
BY STAGECOACH WITH HIS WIFE, THE GRODY'S HAVE RIGGED AND EXPLOSION TO GO OFF
IN THE LUGGAGE ON TOP OF THE STAGECOACH. THE RANGER AND TONTO IN PURSUIT,
ARRIVE JUST IN TIME TO THROW THE LUGGAGE FROM THE COACH. THE ENSUSING EXPLOSION
KILLS BOTH GRODY BROTHERS. [RHC]
