My father Joe Bates served on the USS Sealion II and was one of the officers featured in The Silent Service
episode #1.31  "The Sealion Story." Can anyone tell me if this episode is available in either VHS or DVD format?
I happen to have a copy of the actual script/TV screenplay but would love to see the episode.
Any leads would be much appreciated.

Hi,
I am Rear Admiral Dyker's granddaughter. My Grandmother gave the family archive
films to the Navy in New Orleans and they have
lost them. None of our family has
any of his episodes and would love to see them. Can you help?
Thanks,

"Is this series available for sale as VHS videos (or CD or DVD)? If so,
where? I watched most of these episodes in '57 and '58 as a college
student at Penn State. I was in the Navy from 1950-54 in Subron 6 out of
Keywest, FL. I sailed aboard several of the WWII boats mentioned in that
series although they had been converted to GUPPIES by the time I joined the
Navy.
Thanks for any info you can provide."

Hi,
My Dad served on the USS Perch SS-176 during WWII. Thus, the Perch was sunk
and the entire crew were captured by the Japanese. My Dad being one of the
52 crewmen on board the USS Perch.
I remember "The Silent Service" TV Series when I was a very young boy, but
I never did get to see the episodes about my Dad's sub, the USS Perch.
According to your website, there were two such episodes.
#25 "The Perch's New Role" #38 "The Loss of the Perch"
Would you happen
to know where I may be able to purchase these two Silent Service episodes
on the USS Perch on VHS, or DVD? Any help you could provide would be
sincerely and deeply appreciated, as my Dad passed away when I was just 14,
back in 1973.
Thanks so very much for your time. Warmest regards,
