Production Background:
"Falcon Crest" was an Amanda & MF production in association with Lorimar.
Starting on 21 April 1986, Lorimar changed its name to Lorimar-Telepictures.
Starting with season 8, Lorimar-Telepictures changed its name to Lorimar
Television.
Starting on 21 January 1989, Lorimar Television was purchased and became
Warner Brothers Television
a division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, LP,
though it was still known as Lorimar Television (or Lorimar-Television) on occasion.

Background:
One of several prime time soap operas from the 80's made by Lorimar, others included
Dallas (1978-91), Knots Landing (1979-93) and 'Flamingo Road'.
A rival production from Aaron Spelling -
Dynasty (1981-89) was also highly successful'
