Graduate student Donald Burrows finds college life very agreeable. He

and Prof. Howe think of the 27-year-old Burrows as a "professional
student". Dependent on his wife for support, he seems unable- or
unwilling to hold a job. Rip Torn, rising young Broadway and Hollywood
actor, plays the central role in this character study. [TA]
