Synopsis:
On the way home from missing a flight of the X-15 that he was supposed to cover
for his newspaper, Tim O'Hara
sees a small spacecraft crash in a desolate area. The man he pulls out of the
ship is a Martian professor who
has been studying the people of Earth for several hundred years. The Martian
gives him details of the X-15 flight,
and when the story is printed, Tim is arrested, told he won't be released until
he tells them who among the military
personnel revealed the secret information to him. Since no one would believe the
truth, Tim is afraid he'll never
get out. But then the Martian appears out of thin air in his cell and suggests a
plan that finally satisfies the
authorities. Tim offers room and board to his new-found Martian friend while
he's repairing his spaceship. In return,
the martian, who among other things can read minds, becomes invisible and
converses with animals, offers to help Tim
with his reporting. It looks like a wonderful partnership.
