Synopsis:
Tired of drifting and stealing for a living, Jim Boyer (Roberts)
leaves his partner in crime (Beery) to look up the wife and son he had
abandoned years before. After finding them in Medicine Bow, Boyer tries to
woo his family back and make a new start at respectable living. Hiring on
at Shiloh, where his son (Burns) is already employed, he tries somewhat
unsuccessfully to impress John Grainger in hopes of getting the foreman job
at a new spread Grainger was planning to buy. But when the ranch deal
falls through Boyer blames it on the Virginian's jealousy and, feeling
betrayed by luck, reunites with his old comrade to rob the Shiloh payroll. (bj)

Feedback - "The Virginian" Guestbook:
Carlo Mencucci says:  December 16, 2010
"The Virginian" season #5, Dec.14,1966 titled "The Long Way Home". It is stated that the name
of the song at the beginning of the show performed by Pernell Roberts is titled "Lonesome Trail".
That is incorrect. The song performed by Pernell Roberts is "My Love Of Long Ago".
It is incorrect on the end credits of that show.  Thank
you.’’
