Synopsis:
Enamored by fictional stories of romance in the West, visiting
Eastern teenager Marjorie Hammond (Rawlings) latches on to the Virginian as
her "Deadeye Dick" after she is sure he saved her life by stopping a buggy
horse from running away with her. The foreman wants to shake her from the
infatuation without hurting her feelings, but everything he tries to
discourage her advances just makes matters worse. Young law student Bob
Foley (Macklin) would like to court her but is rejected by the girl due to
his complete lack of cowboy-ing talent. However, when Marjorie witnesses a
bank robbery and is kidnapped by two of the thieves while changing her
dress to testify at the trial, Bob rides to the rescue and becomes her hero. (bj)
